      The best and most wonderful Driving School in existence! Lyle and Cathy are an amazing team and Lyle is doing God’s work making the roads safer by teaching new drivers how to be safe and drive following all of the rules. I am so grateful that Lyle was my son’s driving instructor! We have noticed the difference, my son is a wonderful driver who now corrects my driving due to Lyle’s superior instruction! I am so grateful and we feel so blessed to have found Lyle, he honestly cares and teaches his students how to be safe drivers. Each student of theirs is paid attention to, and every driving scenario they may encounter is covered! So blessed to have found the Ashburn Driving School!

       Very comprehensive driving school! They teach quite a bit more than many of the competitors. Lyle and Cathy have a passion for “graduating” safe drivers and it shows. The cost is a bit higher than other driving schools, but I consider it a good investment. My friend recommended them to me saying her older child did another school and her younger son did this one and between the two, he is the better driver 

by far.:)

          Based on conversations with friends on their experiences with BTW classes, I strongly believe that my children received superior instruction with Mr. T. at Ashburn Driving School. You can find the lesson topics on the website. My children found Mr. T to be friendly and approachable. When I picked them up, they were always happy to share what they had learned and they became more confident drivers with Mr. T's instruction. While Ashburn Driving School BTW classes cost more than other schools we looked into, the quality of instruction was 1000% worth it. They do offer a military discount, which was appreciated.   I know my husband and I made the right decision in signing our son and daughter up with Ashburn Driving School. and we know they had the best instruction possible.

           Great experience! We chose this driving school for our 16-year-old son because of all the extra skills they teach. Mr. and Mrs. Tulloch are wonderful people and really worked with our schedules. My son passed the driving exam during the final lesson and now has his temporary license. He drives much more safely now and with a lot more confidence. Now every time he is in the car with me while I am driving, he points out everything I am doing wrong! I’m glad he learned everything the correct way now and will not have to break bad driving habits later in life. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Tulloch!

           We highly recommend Mr.Tulloch as a driving instructor. He is very knowledgeable, experienced, and patient. He explains everything very well  and clear that makes a student to fell less stressed and more confident behind the wheel. Our son loves his lessons with Mr.T!

            BEST driving school EVER!  My youngest daughter just completed her course with Mr. T. and is a better driver than I,  and I have had my license for 30 years!  I HIGHLY recommend this school.  She is much more relaxed and confident.  I noticed a difference after her second class.  I want to send my 19 year old for a refresher.  :)

            We were very happy with Ashburn Driving School--from the first phone call to learn about the programs and pricing, to the final lessons--first rate operation!  Our 18-year old son didn't have his license yet; we opted for private lessons first and then the adult driving program.  The students don't just drive around--they practice hazards, on/off ramps, and all the complications of driving in Loudoun County.             We just completed our third experience with Ashburn Driving School and we have never been more happy with a business than this one. So many driving schools in the area are corrupt--they take your money, take your student for a quick drive, and issue them their license, just to rack up as many students ($$) as possible, and your child/student learns nothing. That is definitely not the case with Ashburn Driving School! Mr. Tulloch is extremely thorough and he takes his job seriously, and we could not be more thankful. By the time our students completed Mr. Tulloch's sessions, they were much more informed and very confident that they could handle any situation they came across on the roads. We all know the Ashburn area is not an easy place to learn to drive, so why would anyone want to take a shortcut with those other driving schools? I mean, you are taking the lives of your children in your hands if you have not prepared them as best you can, and that is why Ashburn Driving School was the only choice for us. Mr. Tulloch really cares about your kids and he wants to see them become good drivers, so he runs them through a battery of tests and lessons such as learning how to evade trouble by taking the car off the road, then getting the car back on the road. No other driving school is this thorough, I can promise you that. We all want our kids to be safe, it is scary enough to be the parents of teen drivers, so it is best to give them the best instruction possible and to our family, there is simply no other choice.             Stellar and comprehensive teaching that will leave you more than adequately prepared for driving on your own. They do a great crash avoidance lesson. Mr. T. is very calm, patient, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

             Lyle helped all 3 of our kids to understand how to drive and not just the technical rules.  Lyle's very engaging and practical approach to teaching not only prepared our kids, but they had fun in the process.  As parents we truly appreciate Lyle's work and how he  helped prepare our kids for driving!

            Worth every penny. If you actually want to learn how to drive you need to drive with Mr. T.  I'd previously put my daughter through TWO driving schools before this but BOTH failed to give my daughter any ACTUAL instruction. However, after just a few lessons with Mr. T., my daughter became confident and knew exactly what she was doing behind the wheel. Mr. T. was thorough in his instruction, relaxed so students didn't get nervous, and he gave each student ample time on the road. He has gone above and beyond as an instructor. In many instances he has even gone over the time we paid for just to give my daughter extra practice with parking, etc. He is the best driving instructor you will find. He genuinely cares about his students and dedicates himself to ensuring they know how to drive safely.

             Mr. Tulloch is an amazing and patient instructor. He taught my daughter and niece together. Both girls were extremely nervous, but by the time the first lesson was over both were feeling so much more confident. They looked forward to every lesson and have remarked that Mr. Lyle was their favorite teacher ever out of every subject. As a parent, I appreciated his flexibility and kindness in teaching my daughter. She was excited to learn with him and looked forward to the many things they covered in every lesson. I highly recommend Ashburn Driving School.

           Lyle is the best. Two of my children have received their licenses  through Ashburn Driving School and my husband and I are much more  assured of their safety because of it. When our older children took similar classes, we never got the impression that either instructor took the obligation seriously. Lyle wants the teens to be safe and  responsible drivers for everyone's safety. I truly think that insurance companies should offer discounts to those who have completed their driver's training through Ashburn Driving School. It's that good!

           I was looking for a trustworthy and reputable instructor to prepare my  daughter for the driving test.  She took the requisite driving course in  high school and we drove together for many hours. Not being an  instructor, I wanted someone to assess her driving skill and knowledge  to cover areas I missed. After numerous futile attempts contacting other  driving schools, I came across Ashburn Driving School and immediately  received the care and attention I was searching for. Most refreshing was their attention to the training my daughter needed vs. trying to sign  her up for a specific program.  She only received the training she  needed (3 lessons) and passed the driving test the same day she received  her 3rd and last training lesson. My daughter found Lyle's approach to  training to be very thorough and unintimidating. I highly recommend  Ashburn Driving School to others.

          I write very few online reviews, but Ashburn Driving School warrants  it. Our son just completed his training with Lyle, the owner. They were  so professional, and so thorough. Our older son went through a different  school he had found 4 years ago, and I don't think I ever met the  owner/instructor. Lyle came to our home two weeks before our son was  scheduled for his Behind the Wheel. He went over the entire process, and  what was expected. He showed up on time for every behind-the-wheel. At  the end of it, he held him to a 50-point, DMV required test.  Following  that, we had another follow-up meeting where he reviewed our son's  progress throughout the 7 day instruction, in every area of driving, on a  worksheet the DMV legally requires him to keep. He informed us of all  areas he needs to improve. He walked us through the rest of the process,  and told us to contact them if we don't receive the court date within 5  months for our son to get his permanent license. Every step of this  process was impeccable. It was important to us to have an instructor  that would only grant him his license if he was ready and officially  passed the driving portion of the test. There are too many bad,  distracted, reckless, and aggressive drivers around here, constantly  running lights, speeding, and on their phones. Having a legitimate  instructor was important to us, as we have heard so many stories of  other instructors taking the money, not doing all 7 Behind-the-Wheel  lessons, not testing them, not checking the logs...inexperienced drivers  pose a risk to all of us, and I wasn't prepared to put our son on the  road if he poses a risk to himself or others. Ashburn Driving School is  exceptional, and I strongly recommend them to any family who wants to  truly prepare their kids.

          I  heard many stories of friends' children doing 2-3 lessons and then  being handed their temp license as they were *ready*.  I knew we wanted  the full lessons we were paying for and to know that our daughter was  getting the instruction that she needed.  Mr. Tulloch meets the family  first (don't you want to know who you are sending your child out with?)  and walks you through every step.  The sessions included off-road, defensive, etc., and she was always with the same student so she could observe his efforts.  We feel it prepared her very well and there was NO cutting of corners.  He does it right.
