SPECIAL NEEDS DRIVER TRAINING

FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, WE OFFER:

            Private behind-the-wheel 

                special needs driver instruction

            30-minute lesson times 

            Individualized, tailored to each student

            Detailed and thorough

            Provided with patience, respect,

                   and professionalism

           Use of student's alternative instruction plan

           Assessment and guidance 

                  at conclusion of each lesson

         

           Specialized needs lessons may be used for: 

                    - Clinical driver rehabilitation program preparation

                    - DMV road test preparation

                   - 45-Hour practice log hours

                   - Currently licensed driver review

                   - Driver improvement lessons

                   - Practice time

Every student learns differently. We provide patient, personalized instruction in short, 30-minute sessions for students with a wide variety of learning styles, life experiences, and individual needs. Our instructors have experience working with neurodivergent students in the following areas:  


  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • ADD / ADHD
  • Post-traumatic stress related to driving
  • Physical and cognitive disabilities
  • Mobility limitations
  • Students rebuilding confidence after a collision
  • Students affected by a family member's collision
  • Students with medical or therapeutic requirements
  • Neurodivergent, processing, and learning challenges
  • Senior drivers (55+)
  • English-language and hearing challenges

at student's home in the Ashburn area
